BitDark Safe-Link Analyzer

Privacy Policy

BitDark is designed to work entirely in your browser. We aim to minimize data collection and tracking.

1. How BitDark works

BitDark analyzes URLs locally in your browser using JavaScript. The link you paste into the scanner is not sent to any BitDark-owned server for analysis. All checks are based on the text of the URL and happen on your device.

2. URLs you scan

BitDark does not store, log or share the URLs you scan, from the perspective of the app itself. However, your web browser, network provider, or hosting platform may keep technical logs (such as standard HTTP access logs) as part of their normal operation.

3. Cookies and tracking

BitDark does not require login and does not use cookies for tracking user behavior. The only local storage used is for theme preference (light / matrix / neon), stored in your browser so the site can remember your choice.

4. Third-party services

If the site is hosted on platforms such as GitHub Pages, those platforms may maintain their own logs (for example, IP address, user agent, timestamp) for security and analytics. BitDark does not control those logs and does not directly access or use that data.

5. No guarantees

While BitDark is built to respect your privacy and keep scanning on-device, no system is perfect. If you are handling extremely sensitive information, consider using a secure environment and keep your browser and operating system up to date.
